This performance belongs to the Patetismo series of works in which I made emphasis on the accumulation and release of tension through an improvisation based on the usage of a group of core images and actions. The selection of some of the materials was based on objects that were scarce in Venezuela at the moment, such as water, toilet paper, chicken, vegetable oil, and arepa corn flour. The rarity of these elements for the Venezuelan people in their country of origin would have prevented them to reproduce a performance like this, which would turn this work into a luxury within that context. The performance was defined by an atmosphere of solemnity and grief.
